چکیده

Bulk integration of Distributed Energy Resources (DERs) into the power grids reduces system’s inherent inertial response. The reduced response causes a high Rate-of-Change-of-Frequency (RoCoF) and poses formidable operational challenges for grid frequency stability. Interconnections around world comprehend role value Synthetic Inertia Control (SIC), which is considered as subset Fast Frequency Response (FFR) one potential solutions to arrest RoCoF in low-inertia systems. This paper proposes an intelligent SIC model with adaptive Fuzzy Logic Controller microgrid. The proposed Fuzzy-SIC (FSIC) design optimizes DER output fulfill FFR requirements system various operating conditions. particle swarm optimization algorithm applied tune unit parameters along secondary Proportional–Integral–Derivative control. approach examined control area distinct degrees DERs load. Case studies numerical results demonstrate about 87% improvement nadir comparison without synthetic inertia emulation. Furthermore, robustness evaluated using case time-domain analysis conducted impact incremental on parameters.

Designing a new robust control for virtual inertia control in the microgrid with regard to virtual damping

Background and Objectives: Virtual inertia control, as a component of a virtual synchronous generator, is used for the implementation of synchronous generator behaviour in microgrids. In microgrids that include high-capacity distributed generation resources, in addition to virtual inertia, virtual damping can also lead to improvement of frequency stability of the microgrid. The purpose of the c...

An Experimental Study of Frequency Droop Control in a Low- Inertia Microgrid by Andrew

The use of distributed generation in microgrid systems is becoming a popular way to provide a reliable source of electricity to critical loads. Efforts in disaster relief operations and national defense applications require a mobile, scalable power grid that is easily constructed and robust enough to handle radical system changes. These microgrids are usually built using low-inertia generators ...

Allocation of Distributed Energy Resources for Microgrid Optimal Scheduling Considering Uncertainty

In this paper, a microgrid including a solar panel, a battery energy storage system and a diesel generator as the backup source are optimally is designed. The microgrid is considered as a part of a distribution network, that could be considered as local area. As microgrids can operate in grid-connected mode, the proposed algorithm investigates the minimization of the distribution network power ...

Energy Based Adaptive Time Step and Inertia-matrix Based Adaptive Discretisation for Fast Converging Dynamic Simulation

Dynamic systems are capable to simulate objects behaviours (motion, deformation, collision) and to study their contact interaction with the environment. They have initially developed in the computer graphics eldd1] in order to do the behavioural animation. In robotics eld, we do not nd the notion of a compleat dynamic model. One uses a geometrical model in addition to a partial physical model 1...
